Client Details

I. POZITIVA is a wholesale and retail company in Serbia,  specializing in second hand (preowned) clothing and textile.

Much of their clothing and earnings are used for humanitarian purposes through helping individuals, humanitarian organizations and churches.

Backstory

I. Pozitiva started as one small second hand clothes retail shop in 2014. By 2019 it grew to have it’s own sorting facility, 5 shops all in different cities and 5 wholesale clients, while re-selling already imported preowned clothes.

They came to us looking for several designs (business cards , flyers, posters, price tags…) for their shops. What started as occasional work turned into a productive partnership once we offered our expertise in order to help take the company to the next level.

They were facing several challenges. In terms of visibility – no recognizable branding, lots of competition starting to rise up as the market was opening for preowned clothes, no actual logo, no website… In terms of business organisation – they were still operating in the same manner as when they started, re-selling already imported clothes and depending on the middleman. In terms of internal structure – everything was basically run by one person while the company was growing and needed restructuring in order to scale.

Project Highlights

Challenge

I. Pozitiva had 5 shops in different cities and 5 clients and was operating well, with lots of potential for scaling the business. However, competition (even much smaller, one shop retailers) was much more present on the social media and much more visually recognizable. Sales were starting to drop while costs of running a growing business were rising.

Solution

We first established the branding guidelines and worked on unifying the look and feel of all the shops. We established online presence through social media accounts for each shop and the company as a whole, and trained their workers to run the accounts themselves.

We created the website in both Serbian and English to be accessible to buyers, suppliers and potential investors.

On behalf of the company we found suppliers from Netherlands and Germany, as well as transport company, we negotiated the prices and established the import logistics.

After that we committed to helping the company create a team from their own workers, did HR counseling, created a system to deal with internal issues and challenges properly and worked on connecting all shops and clients in an internal communication system.

When the company wanted to go to the next level and needed investors, we served as matchmakers between their current partner and them, and helped in the process of negotiating and later scaling the business.

Result

The result is 400% growth in revenue, 200% growth in the number of shops and cities present, 300% growth in number of clients.

The company is recognizable on the market, number of workers has doubled and company is now present in twice as many cities as before and continuing to grow.
